We know it’s very overwhelming and that pregnant people around the globe are feeling incredibly uncertain and unsure how the Coronavirus will impact their health, their baby’s health and their birth and postpartum plans.
The news is shifting each hour and we are all being asked to shift with it. For some the shifts may be small, but for most (probably you!) this means drastic lifestyle changes, cancelled childbirth classes, and kiddos schooling at home. As the landscape changes daily and uncertainties grow, we want you to know that we are here for you and are continuing to show up for our clients and community.
We fully respect the work the hospitals are doing to try to mitigate further spread of the Coronavirus, but that doesn’t mean the support you need disappears!
Despite the evolving hospital policies, it is still possible to have incredible support through pregnancy, birth and postpartum. At Doulas of OC we have a couple of options for you to get the care and support that you need either privately, in your home or virtually.
Virtual Birth Doula Support
Whether you don’t have access to a Birth Doula in your area or you and your partner want your birth experience to be intimate, or your hospital limits the number of support people present; our Virtual Birth Doula services are available to help support, encourage and guide you through this incredible adventure!
Googling all the things pregnancy & birth related have the potential to create anxiety and confusion. Having a trusted birth doula by your side through this journey is invaluable! With virtual doula support, you’ll receive evidence-based resources, guidance, emotional and informational support from anywhere in the US through virtual meetings and on call phone support during labor.
Virtual doulas packages typically include a complimentary consultation via Zoom or Phone, virtual prenatal visits to discuss options during your pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum, assistance creating your birth plan, phone & email support throughout pregnancy. virtual 24/7 on call labor & birth support, Zoom or phone availability during labor and birth to assist with navigating birth options, provide emotional support and guidance for your partner, and virtual postpartum visit to talk through your birth experience and answer postpartum questions.
What does Pregnancy Coaching look like?
We make it easy to work together no matter where you are in the world and our sessions feel like a video chat with your best friend! During your private pregnancy coaching sessions, we can discuss all of your questions & concerns about pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Through these curated sessions, the goal is to help you confidently prepare for the adventure ahead, address fears or concerns, and create a specific vision for your parenting journey. Afterwards you'll literally have your pregnancy coach in your back pocket to check in whenever you need.
What will we cover in your Pregnancy Coaching sessions?
This time is yours, so you get to choose what we focus on during each call. At the start of each session, we’ll take time to get clear on your needs and goals or discussion points from there.

All clients have the option to add our Lite Virtual Doula Package at a discounted price. Virtual Doula support includes 24/7 on-call phone/text support during your labor & birth to help with decision making, supporting your choices, providing partner guidance, and more!
Coaching sessions are 2 hours and take place via Zoom Monday-Fridays. Limited weekend availability is an option on an as-needed basis. Virtual pregnancy coaching and virtual doula support are available for clients worldwide!
