Afra is a Birth & Postpartum Doula, Parenting Educator, Blogger & MomPreneur based in Orange County. She is a mother of 3 and is a huge advocate for supporting women through their pregnancy journeys, birth and postpartum through motherhood.
Afra began her doula journey soon after trying for a VBAC and ending in a repeat cesarean in 2015. She was known as the warrior patient in L&D because she did everything she could to attempt that VBAC for over 50 hours. She started her blog in 2016 and after having her third baby with another repeat cesarean, she felt drawn to sharing her insight, motivation and expertise with mothers. She knew that she wanted moms to feel completely informed, fully supported and constantly encouraged in their birth & postpartum experiences. She is very passionate about empowering women to have the births they desire and better more positive postpartum periods. Afra has a wealth of knowledge about a family’s options in the hospital, birth center and homebirths. She loves educating parents and sharing her knowledge with her community of followers. She is a baby wearing expert and also teachers our Baby Care Basics Course and is soon to embark on her Breastfeeding Educator Certification. She is the go-to person in her community for tips on what to purchase for the baby and takes the time out to help her friends create their registries for products they actually need (and not want or follow through standard baby registries). Afra brings a incredible calm and confidence to each and every family she works with.
During her down time she enjoys spending quality time with friends & family and loves Coffee Bean Chai Latte and working on her blog. She also loves night runs to Target!
